City of Greater Sudbury Local Immigration Partnership (LIP)

The Local Immigration Partnership will develop a comprehensive framework that will work to address settlement strategies, integration opportunities and acceptance of cultural diversity as it works on recruitment and retention of newcomers. Immigration and settlement is a multi-dimensional problem the LIP will attempt to address: the challenges of service coordination across all sectors; identification of service gaps; opportunities for enhancement and creation of stronger linkages in a comprehensive manner. Integral to this strategy, Sudbury will continue to be a welcoming community to newcomers, and newcomers will be able to contribute to Sudbury in its economic growth and multicultural setting.
